A few lines re the flower watercolors.
The color and shapes within certain flowers attract me. I do not make a preliminary drawing. A sort of searching process begins directly onto dry paper using tube watercolor paints. I watch and feel the colors as they mix on the page. I like the element of surprise and the unexpected results possible in this medium. At times I add arbitrary brushstrokes. At other times I go fast. Suspense.
